Poetry Out Loud inspires in high school students the confidence to make themselves heard, using one of the most powerful tools at their disposal—art.
Poetry in education has experienced a Renaissance through Poetry Out Loud. Students are given the opportunity to interact with the words of the masters through recitation, building a relationship with the works and creating a sense of shared ownership branded by their own technique of volume, pitch, pace, and personal point of view.
The winner of the NPA Poetry Out Loud Competition will go on to the County Competition on February 10.
Poetry Out Loud is an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts, administered statewide by the California Arts Council.
–
Your goal in the Literature Seminar series should be to absorb the content of the novels as a means to appropriating the significance of human life more fully.
At Jean's house, Trinidad.

Application is required for all new students, including siblings of current students. Packet may be turned in to the Middle School Office or to a staff member in the High School Faculty Room.
